The heart of health in the future city
Ülemiste City is the largest business campus in the Baltics, home to around 17,000 talents who live, study, or work there today. The large and international community means that Estonia’s biggest commercial real estate developer has a responsibility to create an environment that comprehensively supports the well-being of its talents and stimulates business growth.
In 2020, Ülemiste City, in collaboration with the University of Tartu, introduced the 3×3 health model. At the center of the model is the talent, whose mental, physical, and social health is supported by themselves, their employer, and the Ülemiste City campus, which enables the implementation of positive changes.
The services offered in the Ülemiste Health Centers are strategically important in implementing the health model. The centers bring together top specialists from various healthcare fields with extensive experience, providing high-quality and evidence-based specialist medical care and primary family medicine services. The prerequisites for quality service are customer-centricity and the use of smart solutions in both prevention and improving the quality of life.
Vision
We are the heart of health in the future city, where the health of every talent and their family members is cared for, and work ability is supported. The Health Centers are an important partner on health-related issues for all organizations on campus.

Karl Ernst von Baer (1792–1876)
Karl Ernst von Baer, from the Piibe Manor in Järvamaa, is one of the most renowned natural scientists and physicians in Estonian history, known primarily as the founder of descriptive and comparative embryology. One of his most notable discoveries is the mammalian egg cell. Von Baer’s journey in medical science began at the University of Tartu, where he defended his doctoral thesis on the endemic diseases of Estonians in 1814, followed by further education in Berlin, Vienna, and Würzburg. Throughout different periods of his life, he also engaged in ichthyology, entomology, geography, ethnography, and anthropology alongside embryology and anatomy.
